Common questions
Where do the ages and intervals come from?
From official guidance. For Quebec, from the province's own screening pages. For other places, from international bodies such as the World Health Organization, until we check that country's own programs. Every card links to its source.
Why does my country show "general guidance"?
We haven't checked your country's own programs yet, so ages, timing and cost may differ there. Tap "Ask us to check" on the results screen. Requests decide which country we do next.
Is the "how to get it" text reliable?
It is written by AI from official sources, and AI can get things wrong. Confirm phone numbers and steps with your clinic or health service before you go. If you find a mistake, tap "Something wrong?" on that card.
Has a doctor reviewed this?
Not yet. The app says "Not reviewed by a doctor yet" until one has.
I have symptoms. What should I do?
Screening is for people without symptoms. If you have a symptom, get it checked, even if a check isn't due. If it feels like an emergency, go to the nearest emergency department.
How do I change the language?
On the start screen, tap Language. It opens your phone's settings for this app.
Reminders don't appear.
Notifications may be off for Checkup Guide. Turn them on in your phone's settings, then set the reminder again.
How do I start over?
Tap "Edit answers" on the results screen. To erase everything, see delete your data.
